Undoubtedly, Evercleanse has gone on an advertising overdrive with radio and Internet ads. The Company claims to effect considerable weight loss in obese and overweight individuals by their colon-cleansing product, Evercleanse. The ads claim that Ever cleanse can detoxify the colon of the accumulated waste matter, toxins, and harmful chemicals, which may cause numerous bodily ailments. To further its sale potential, Evercleanse is projected as an antidote for several diseases, like irritable bowl syndrome, constipation, bloating, indigestion, decreased energy levels, and skin and hair problems.

After drawing much flak from several quarters, finally the Evercleanse website has a link to its contents. It is basically a Probiotic blend comprising Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Lactobacillus Rhamnosus, Lactobacillus Bulqaricus, Bifidobacterium Bifidum, Bifidobacterium Lactis, Fructo-oilgosaccharides, Cellulose, Magnesium Stearate, and Silica. Besides, there are some calories, carbohydrates, dietary fiber, and resistant maltodextrin (a form of soluble dietary fiber).
The Modus Operandi, The Effects and The Side Effects
Evercleanse effects are touted to be achieved in 3 steps: The Clean Sweep, which simply breaks down the accumulated waste matter, toxins and chemicals; Replenish, which replaces the bad bacteria with good ones; and Colon Support & Maintenance, which maintains the healthy colon.
The steps may seem simple but their efficacy is doubtful. Firstly, the process of breaking down the accumulated waste is not as simple as it is made out. Moreover, the doctors are not ready to prescribe Evercleanse so easily. That is because the product tries to keep you on this special diet for much longer than you need.
The pregnant women and breastfeeding moms can damage their bodies by resorting to Evercleanse without doctor supervision. Very young children (below the age of 12) should also stay away from Evercleanse.
Detoxification is a balanced process and could easily result in imbalance of electrolytes, if resorted to without doctor’s supervision. While you are seeking doctor’s opinion, make sure to let him or her know if you are on some medications.
The Price
The Basic Package comprising one month’s supply of Detox/Cleansing Formula and Replenishing Formula costs $99.95, which is way too much in comparison to other detoxification diets. There is also a Minicleanse package comprising two week’s supply of only Detox/Cleansing Formula that costs $49.95. Earlier, Evercleanse had different pricing strategy. However, the new-look pricing is just like the old wine in a new bottle, with little to cheer about for the customers. Moreover, the Shipping and Handling charges are extra.
The Ever cleanse Verdict
Evercleanse is high on promises and on paper looks great! But because it’s still a new product I'm hesitate on its claims. How ever, we are now seeing many more favorable reviews, and testimonials compared to even 4 months ago. I give it a 6/10, only because it’s still relatively new, and until we see more testimonials that rating stands.
